Israel Warns Gaza City Residents To Flee

Israel has warned residents of Gaza City they have one last chance to flee before Israeli forces encircle the city. This warning came as Hamas – the Palestinian group designated a terrorist organization by the US and EU – is reviewing US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the nearly two-year war. This is the last chance for Gazans who want to flee south – those who remain will be “considered terrorists and terrorist supporters.”

GAZA CITY OCTOBER 2: Israel has warned residents of Gaza City they have one last chance to flee before Israeli forces encircle the city, declaring anyone who remains will be considered a terrorist. The Red Cross said the intensity of the fighting had forced it to temporarily suspend operations in the city while Israel has threatened to cut off the road leading to northern Gaza.

It says it is “tightening the siege” around the city in order to secure the “decisive defeat” of Hamas and free the remaining hostages.

This warning came as Hamas – the Palestinian group designated a terrorist organization by the US and EU – is reviewing US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the nearly two-year war on Palestinian land.

“This is the last chance for Gazans who want to flee south and leave Hamas militants isolated in Gaza City,” Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz wrote in X, warning that those who remain will be “considered terrorists and terrorist supporters.”

Katz said the Israeli army has taken control of the Netzarim corridor, which connects central Gaza to the West Bank, cutting off northern Gaza from the southern part. Anyone leaving Gaza City heading south will have to pass through Israeli military checkpoints, he added.
