On Wednesday June 18 Ali Khamenei held a 10 minute long televised message. In that speech, he explained what will happen if the US attacks Iran. “The Iranian nation has shown that it’s dignified, courageous, and is able to correctly assess the situation. We haven’t attacked anyone, and we definitely won’t tolerate anyone attacking us, and we will never surrender in response to the attacks of anyone. The harm the USA will suffer will definitely be irreparable if they enter this conflict militarily.”
TEHRAN JUNE 23: Yesterday I spoke with a colleague who claimed that the American attack was carried out by Iraq. Therefore, I first want to clarify what happened:
Saturday, 00:01 Eastern time: B-2 stealth bombers took off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. One or more of them headed west over the Pacific Ocean as a decoy to distract from the seven bombers headed east toward Iran.
17.00 Eastern: After 17 hours of flying, B-2s entered airspace controlled by U.S. Central Command. U.S. Navy submarine in the region launched more than a dozen Tomahawk cruise missiles at a nuclear site in Isfahan. The U.S. warplanes entered Iranian airspace about an hour later.
14.10 to 14:35 Sunday in Iran: The U.S. struck the alleged nuclear sites at Fordo and Natanz. The submarine-launched cruise missiles then struck Isfahan. About 75 precision-guided munitions were expended during the attacks.
19:30 Eastern time, Sunday in Iran: The American bombers left Iranian airspace and began their flight back to the United States.
“It’s not politically correct to use the term, ‘Regime Change,” but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change??? MIGA!!!” Trump wrote on his blog, in a feeling as if he had already defeated Iran.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei & Irans Response
On Wednesday June 18 Ali Khamenei held a 10 minute long televised message to the Iranian nation. In that speech, he explained what will happen if the United States attacks Iran.
“The Iranian nation has shown that it’s dignified, courageous, and is able to correctly assess the situation. I feel it’s necessary here to refer to the beautiful, meaningful gesture of the female television host in response to the enemy’s attack – her saying Allahu Akbar and showing a sign of the [Iranian] nation’s power to the entire world.
The second point is that this act, the Zionist regime’s foolish, malicious attack on our country, took place at a time when our government officials were engaged in negotiations indirectly and through intermediaries with the US side.
The final matter is that the US President has recently resorted to threats. Not only does he make threats, but he also uses absurd, unacceptable rhetoric to openly demand that the Iranian people surrender to him.
We haven’t attacked anyone, and we definitely won’t tolerate anyone attacking us, and we will never surrender in response to the attacks of anyone. The harm the USA will suffer will definitely be irreparable if they enter this conflict militarily.”
Abdolrahim Mousavi, the new chief of staff of Iranian armed forces, said in a short statement on Monday morning that the US violated Iran’s sovereignty when it attacked the Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan sites on Sunday and had “entered the war clearly and directly”.
Referring to US President Donald Trump, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman of Iran’s retaliatory strikes, said in English: “Gambler Trump, you may start this war, but we will be the ones to finish it.”
Iranian officials have threatened to hit US military bases across the region, and a potential exit from the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). The Iran-aligned Houthis in Yemen had also pledged to restart their maritime attacks if the US entered the war in favour of Israel.
