The piano arrangement originates from the quill of Sven Helbig, with whom Rammstein have had a long collaboration. I can say with a fair amount of certainty that the song is about nightmares.

The first video shoot took place in December 2011 and was directed by Eugenio Recuenco. After Eugenio showed the video to the band they felt it was too open-ended and wanted to re-shoot scenes. So in 2012 new scenes were shot by Zoran Bihać.
