Tasis: Mass Murder Is Fake News!

Al-Fashir Massacre: Alaa El-Din Nugud, spokesperson for the Leadership Council of the Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS), which is led by the former camel herder from Chad, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, denied there was any evidence of massmurder. “This is not true. There is no video evidence for RSF killing 460 [people in hospital].” There is no mass murder – it’s all fake news. In fact, he does not deny that mass murders have occurred, only that there is no evidence of it. There is also information campaigns circulating spread by RSF perpetrators who claim that the information about genocide is FAKE news.

AL FASHIR NOVEMBER 10: Alaa El-Din Nugud, spokesperson for the Leadership Council of the Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS), which is led by the former camel herder from Chad, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, denied there was any evidence of massmurder. “This is not true. There is no video evidence for RSF killing 460 [people in hospital].” There is no mass murder – it’s all fake news.

His arguments is very childish and Irrelevant – in fact, he does not deny that mass murders have occurred, only that there is no evidence of it.

Taqadum and the FFC-CC are widely accused of being the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) terrorist’s political partner. He has previously denied, among other things, RSF rapes, defended the UAE’s role in Sudan and legitimized the RSF’s massacre in Wad Al-Noura.

The International Criminal Court has warned atrocities committed in the Sudanese city of el-Fasher may amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity. There have been harrowing reports of mass killings, rapes and abductions, as the Rapid Support Forces pushed the Sudanese Army out of the city last week.

The ICC said in a statement:

These atrocities are part of a broader pattern of violence that has afflicted the entire Darfur region since April 2023. Such acts, if substantiated, may constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity under the Rome Statute.

The UN says the conflict in Sudan is the world’s worst humanitarian crisis and the situation on the ground is rapidly deteriorating. Aid agencies say around 200-thousand people remain trapped in el-Fasher in Sudan’s Darfur region. They’re living in desperate conditions and running out of food and water.

Tens of thousands of others, mostly women and children, have fled on foot to the nearby town of Tawila. And some survivors walked for many days covering hundreds of kilometres before reaching safety in a displacement camp in al-Dabbah in Northern State.

Hiba Morgan is at that camp and has been speaking to those who fled Darfur.

Alaa El-Din Nugud is the official spokesperson of TASIS alliance, a group that refers to themselves as “transitional peace” government aligned to the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. He says much of the information about atrocities concerning the RSF is fake.

There is also information campaigns circulating spread by RSF perpetrators who claim that the information about genocide is FAKE news. Their information is based on various suspicious sources and outright lies. A better investigation was conducted by SVT, the Swedish national public television broadcaster. This investigation showed clear evidence of mass murder.

Another credible investigation was conducted by Yale University School of Public Health’s Humanitarian Research Lab.
