KIRUNA JUNE 2025: Mercedes-Maybach expands its product portfolio with the new 2026 Mercedes‑Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series – the sportiest model in Maybach brand history. The open-top two-seater combines a dynamic driving experience with intrinsic qualities of Mercedes‑Maybach vehicles: skilled craftsmanship, highest quality materials and exquisite details.
The exterior design offers two exclusive color schemes: “Red Ambience” and “White Ambience,” each emphasizing luxury and individuality.
The open-top two-seater is the first Maybach model in which the design of the Maybach-specific chrome radiator grille, with its fine vertical slats, has an A-shape contour. In typical sports-car fashion, it shifts the visual center of gravity downward. The contour of the radiator grille is illuminated, as is the delicately integrated Maybach lettering.
the front fascia, with its horizontal air intakes and striking chrome trim, also emphasizes the sporty character of the Maybach SL
The rear of the Maybach SL is characterized by the taillights featuring the Mercedes-Maybach logo, a Maybach-specific rear fascia with chrome accents, unique diffuser panel and tailpipe trims with signature horizontal bar.
Agile and powerful, the open-top two-seater is equally suited for both relaxed cruising and sporty driving. It offers a high level of Maybach comfort combined with the sophisticated driving dynamics of an SL thanks to its advanced suspension with active, hydraulic roll stabilization.
Hydraulic elements replace conventional mechanical anti-roll bars and compensate for rolling movements in fractions of a second. The system enables maximum ride comfort when cornering, driving straight ahead and over road imperfections.
Maybach-specific valves for the damper hydraulics and softer steel springs also allow the suspension to respond more sensitively. Uneven road surfaces are gently absorbed. New front-axle head bearings, modified overall elastokinematics and Pirelli P Zero tires also contribute to the excellent ride comfort.
Four drive programs, “Comfort,” “Maybach,” “Sport” and “Individual,” provide a wide range of driving experiences. In the Comfort and Maybach programs, softer accelerator pedal calibration offers a smoother and more refined response to driver inputs.
The 577-hp 4.0‑liter biturbo engine and smooth-shifting 9G‑TRONIC automatic transmission ensure dynamic driving pleasure at the Maybach level. 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive and an electronically controlled locking rear differential provide outstanding traction and driving safety, even in slippery road conditions. Standard rear-axle steering contributes to the vehicle’s precise and stable handling.
If you have a few hundred thousand dollars lying around at home, this car can be yours. From $250,000 dollars and up, it costs to have the pleasure of driving this car.
